Il duo di musica elettronica, nato a Milano nel 2008, è composto da Raffaele Serra e Dj Rapsodo.
RAFFAELE SERRA, leggendario ricercatore italiano di sonorità elettroniche, maestro riconosciuto di set musicali che rappresentano autentici azzardi di psiche trasfigurata.
Nel suo lungo percorso egli ha composto le vestigia sonore di anfratti mentali impermanenti, attraversato lo spazio sterminato, il profondo assoluto, messo a ferro e fuoco la tenuta nervosa della sostanza neurologica anestetizzata.
La sua opera non è mai vile, possiede l’intensità temeraria dell’esploratore millenario.
Raffaele Serra è un vero e proprio “altare del suono”.

Gli ARASONUS hanno attitudine al Deserto, agli Oceani, al Caos di Suburra.
Sono contemporanei ai resistenti delle Termopoli; a Nike, Vittoria alata di Samotracia. Coevi alle battaglie navali nel Colosseo; all’Ara Pacis Augustae.
Tracce degli ARASONUS si ritrovano nella fastosa luxuria di Jimi Hendrix; negli aforismi implacabili di E.M.Cioran; nella luce tagliente e barbarica di Caravaggio.
Dalla loro musica scaturiscono mantra ipnotici, sequenze psichedeliche fiammeggianti.
Nel suo scrigno siderale Vandals Growers of Roses, racchiude pathos al calor bianco – grido che lacera, scortica – trance emotiva folgorante – suite sciamaniche d’acciaio e seta.
Vandals Growers of Roses, non è un’opera consolatoria – è musica pericolosa che mette a repentaglio il sistema nervoso centrale – sottopone a prova definitiva ogni equilibrio psichico col suo ritmo dionisiaco per Danzatori Impensati.


Raffaele Serra and DJ Rapsodo a duo of electronic musicians banned together in 2008 in Milan, Italy to create the group ARASONUS. Born from that union is this their first record ARASONUS, Vandals’ Growers of Roses - Published by ALOK Records of Milan, Italy.
ARASONUS, created from latin meaning, Alter of Sound. ARA from the latin word altar means a stone where sacrifices were made to the ancient roman gods. SONUS, the latin word for sound or noise.

A legendary italian experimenter of electronic sounds, Raffaele Serra a renowned maestro, musical expressions represent a real challenge of psychic transfiguration. In his long artistic journey he has composed the vestigial sounds of the impermanent ravines of the mind.
Serra, in his music has crossed the boundless space of absolute depth in which the anaesthetized neurological matter has been besieged. He has the fearless intensity of an ageless explorer that is true in his word. His music represents the ultimate “alter of sound”.
Dj Rapsodo in his debut act is as an ancient greek bard constantly sewing, threading, assembling, transforming and pursuing new sound tracks. His laser composition recalls the first dawn of things, bringing to mind the very dawn of the world. DJ Rapsodo is also founder of Video ALOK/ALOK Records of Milan.

The contributions of the prestigious images for the cd are from the painter Agostino Arrivabene. Arrivabene would have been chosen by Orpheus as his favorite, the phantastikos chose him as titan of the land Mirabilia. His work is full of inconceivable images; it stands as the last known residence of Mystery and Vision.

ARASONUS evokes in one’s mind the very essence of the Desert, Oceans, and the Chaos of Suburra.
Serra and Rapsodo are contemporary with the fighters of Thermopiles, with Nike, the winged Victory of Samothrace or even coeval with the naval battles in the Coliseum, with the Ara Pacis Augustae.
Tracks of ARASONUS can be found in the lavish and luxurious sound of Jimi Hendrix; in the implacable aphorisms of E.M. Cioran; in the cutting and barbaric light of Caravaggio. Inspired by these artists the duo brings the most hypnotic mantras with their blazing psychedelic sequences.
The album Vandals’ Growers of Roses, in its sidereal chest of treasure holds white hot pathos, tearing screams, dazzling emotional trance, shamanic suites of steel and silk. Vandals’ Growers of Roses is not a consoling work; it is dangerous music that endangers your nervous system with its dionysian rhythm for Thoughtless Dancers exposes any psychic balance to the ultimate test.
